GenInspect keeps generator field work connected from scheduling through to the completed report.

One connected process from Scheduler to completed machine history.

GenInspect gives technicians clear field controls, mobile-friendly readings, connected machine history and a straightforward path to the completed report.

01

Create the job in the Scheduler

Select the customer, site, machine, timing, technician and report preset. GenInspect allocates the immutable GI-YYYY-###### work-order number.

02

Assign and plan the work

The job appears in the assigned or unassigned queue. Recurring work can be planned independently from 3 to 24 months ahead.

03

Confirm the machine and report package

Select the correct equipment record and choose Major, Minor or the specialist reports required for that machine.

04

Complete Before Work Starts

Travel, time and pre-work controls are recorded before the workflow can continue into equipment, checks and tests.

05

Complete the field record

Use larger definitive result buttons, mobile numeric entry, measurements, photos, repair actions and signatures online or from a locally stored device draft.

06

Create defects deliberately

Only an inspection item marked Defect identified creates an automatic Defect Register item. Other notes remain in the report or can become a manual follow-up.

07

Finalise the connected report package

Review the End of Job page, complete the required technician, representative, electrician and commissioning-witness records, then finalise the selected reports. The action turns green once finalised.

08

Move the job to completed history

The completed work leaves the active queue and remains linked to the work order, machine, report package, defects and close-out activity.

From booking to equipment history

1. Choose the customer, site and machine

Start with the correct equipment record so the work order, photos, findings, report and future history stay with the right generator.

2. Plan and assign the work

Create the job, select the required report types and give the technician the scope they need before arriving on site.

3. Record the work as it happens

Complete inspections, readings, photographs, parts, labour, findings and repairs on phone, tablet or desktop. When reception is poor, continue the field record and synchronise later.

4. Handle findings clearly

Separate routine observations, attention items, confirmed defects, recommendations and work completed. The customer report should make the difference obvious.

5. Review and sign

Bring the whole record together before the responsible people approve or sign the job where required.

6. Finalise the report and history

Produce the customer-facing report and retain it with the work order, machine record, findings and any later corrective work.

Less repeated entry

Important job information carries through the workflow, reducing the need to retype the same customer, machine and service details in several places.

Responsible use

Use information you are authorised to hold. Keep required records, approvals and safety processes in place.

THE COMPLETE RECORD

Scheduler → machine → selected reports → clear outcomes → explicit defect → End of Job → history

No separate re-entry. No loose photo trail. No automatic defect noise from ordinary attention notes.
